Drilling Engineer Energy Corporation of America (“ECA”) is currently seeking a full-time Drilling Engineer, based in its Sugar Land, Texas office. Qualified candidates should have a Bachelors of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering or another engineering discipline, preferably those with prior experience in the oil and gas industry. This position requires a willingness and dedication to fieldwork, along with excellent interpersonal and computer skills. There will be exposure to, and training by, existing personnel and external resources in numerous drilling areas, such as well planning, drill string and casing designs, directional drilling, contract negotiations, drill site supervision, cost tracking, project optimization etc. The Drilling Engineer will be exposed to a wide variety of drilling conditions ranging from high pressure, high temperature horizontal wells in Texas, to shallow, vertical heavy oil wells in Montana.
