ECA has grown through aggressive acquisition
of producing properties, targeted gas and oil exploration, and
development.
Our energy Company is privately owned, and we have a rigorous
tradition of replacing and growing reserves.
Recently, ECA achieved new exploration success
in the Company's core Appalachian area by discovering new productive
zones beneath existing production and extending these zones
into frontier areas. Another area of great exploration potential
has been the increase in production and reserves from the deep
Wilcox play in South Texas.
ECA’s international exploration program has identified world-class
structures and made natural gas discoveries in the East Coast
Basin and near Taranaki on North Island, New Zealand.
And, in response to financial market interest
in 1993, ECA created an original investment instrument traded
on the New York Stock Exchange, a natural gas production royalty
trust.
The synergy and success that flow through this balanced combination
of assets is rooted in carefully defined core values and culture.
Low-cost operation, purposeful use of high technology, and a
spirit of stakeholdership inform and inspire all activities
of our experienced and dedicated workforce.
The result is a stable integration of energy
disciplines, and a focus upon inventory velocity that is responsive
to evolving industry trends and market fluctuations. ECA’s commitment
to efficiency and innovation animates an ongoing development
of improved services to meet changing customer needs.
